Synopsis

In a quest to institute a good dressing culture on our campuses and also unveil new frontiers on the Nigerian fashion scene, the 1000 & style selection & Awards have been conceived. The project will search, identify & showcase all haute couture enthusiasts, models, and trendsetters, avant-garde and sensual dressers on our campuses with a style of expression. The best dressed students, both males and females would be adorned as the Campus fashion idols, an award that would be regarded to be the pinnacle of all campus style achievements.

The Primary Objective of 1000 & style

The project is primarily designed to use the influence & goodwill of the power dressers & high spenders across Nigerian campuses to help raise funds to help the less privileged students and orphans in some of the public primary schools across Nigeria via the donations of school uniforms, books, school, shoes & other basic accessories. The humanitarian gesture is tagged: THE KIT A KID CAMPAIGN.

The 1000 & Style Selection

The 1000 & style selection will nominate different categories of students from different institutions with bold fashion statements. All students will be given the opportunity to nominate their schools’ best dressed male and female students via a short code platform driven by MTECH:

To nominate a student from a school, simply SEND:

FI, name of school, student face book ID, TEL, and EMAIL to 33058.

The text cost N50, and is available on all the networks. A percentage of the sms proceeds will be used to support the KIT A KID campaign which has been designed to help all deprived public primary school students.

Out of the much anticipated 1,000,000 entries/ nominations, the entries will be short listed to 1000, through the general public’s face book assessment and the e-questionnaire platform.

The finalists 

The 1000 finalists from different institutions will be published on www.kilonshele.com. Picture and profile of finalists will be made available on the kilonshele blog for public comments to help streamline the finalists to a total of  100 students that will be decorated with the campus fashion idol honors at the grand event to be hosted in Lagos between the 20^th and the 24th of September, 2010.

Transportation & Accommodation.

Special transportation arrangement has been made with the event’s official airline company to fly students from various cities across Nigeria into Lagos at subsidized prices. Likewise transportations within the Lagos Metropolis will be fully catered for by our official car Rental Company, while special accommodation reservations are available to students who are interested in our special discount offers prepared by the events’ official hotel and Hospitality Company.

The Promoter
